Ruler of the Skies: Meet the Valkyries Warmaster Air

Banner

Good news, everyone! Today, we’ve got some insider info to share with you about the Stormpride Sisters project! One of the stretch goals we’re super excited about is the Valkyries Warmaster Air model.

Standing at 32mm to the eyes, this warrior is not just a force to be reckoned with, but also a showstopper for your battlefield. Honestly, we love this model so much that we’re already thinking about making a collector’s edition, 70mm  — because why not, right?

Now, sit back and enjoy the backstory of this epic character!

Aina’s Journey

Aina fell into the snow, which promptly turned crimson with her blood. The enemy’s sword had punched through her breastplate and lodged itself deep between her ribs. “Good hit,” Aina thought. “Too bad it wasn’t mine.”

The battle raged around her, and she knew the Sisters would avenge her, but oddly enough, that thought didn’t bring much comfort. All her life, she’d believed that dying in battle was the best way to go. But right now, as bloody bubbles popped on her lips, Aina decided she would’ve much preferred to die in her old age, in a cozy bed, wrapped in the arms of a young lover.

And, of course, she would’ve loved to find the Dread Wolf, stare into its crazy yellow eyes, and land the first blow. Well, we don’t always get what we want.

Aina wasn’t sure if the sun was setting or if her vision was just failing, but everything was growing darker. The roar of the battle and the war cries of the Stormpride Sisters faded into the background. The searing pain in her body was replaced by a strange lightness and relaxation.

“What now?” Aina wondered. “If death is just emptiness and darkness, I’m going to be seriously disappointed.” Just then, a light blazed above her. In a shining column of light, a beautiful winged woman descended from the sky.

She was naked, but somehow wore the light like armor. The woman easily scooped Aina up and held her close, like a mother cradling her child.

Aina realized that her battle armor was left behind, down on the ground with her body. To be fair, both her body and the armor had seen better days, worn down by time and countless battles, with plenty of old scars that ached in damp weather. But now, Aina’s skin was smooth and clear, not a mark in sight. The winged beauty took flight, carrying Aina away.

“Where are we going?” Aina asked.

“Forward!” the woman replied. “Your journey has only just begun!”
