STORY

The Temple of the Moon

For years, the Stormpride Sisters roamed the stars, hunting the elusive Dread Wolf. During one fateful mission, Tuula’s squad pushed deeper into space than ever before.  It was there, in the void, that they crossed paths with something far worse than they had anticipated: a ship from a race enslaved by the Corruption—a monstrous force from the Dark Cosmos, known to consume entire civilizations.

Battle came swiftly. The Corrupted ship opened fire, and Sisters’ vessel tumbled from the skies, crashing onto the night side of a desolate planet. Under the glaring light of a massive full moon, the Sisters gathered on the ground, waiting for the orbital strike that would surely finish them. Despair loomed, but Tuula, their leader, remained calm. Somewhere, in the depths of her memory, she recalled an ancient melody—an old song her mother used to sing to her as a child. Tuula began to hum the tune. The song was a story of a young girl, held captive by her enemies, who had prayed to the Moon Goddess for deliverance. The Goddess, known as the Huntress and protector of those who seek freedom, had answered her call. She bestowed upon the girl the strength not only to escape but to defeat her captors entirely. As Tuula’s voice grew louder, the other Sisters, drawn by the familiar tale of courage, joined in the song. Their voices rose in unison, filling the air with a hymn of old, the moon above seeming to shine even brighter in response. As the last note faded, the air shimmered. A glowing shield appeared around them, and when the Corrupted’s orbital strike came, it was deflected harmlessly. The Stormpride Sisters stood amazed. Then the Corrupted ship landed, and battle ensued. This time, empowered by divine protection, the Sisters crushed their foes and seized victory. Though they soon left the planet, they marked its location. Later, they returned to build the Temple of the Moon—a lasting tribute to the Goddess who had saved them in their darkest hour. The temple became a place of worship and power, a sanctuary for the Stormpride Sisters and a reminder that even in the darkest of nights, the light of the moon would always guide them to victory.

STORY

The Fall of the Temple

The Temple of the Moon had long symbolized victory and divine protection. But peace breeds boredom, and boredom often leads to questionable choices. Among the Sisters was Sigrid—fierce and curious, with a love for ancient knowledge. Her best friend Astrid often teased her, saying, “We’re warriors, not librarians.”

One night, under a full moon, Sigrid pored over a dusty tome in the temple archives. “This is important, Astrid,” she whispered, tracing dark, spiraling runes. “Knowledge is power. It’s almost like it’s speaking to me.” Astrid peered over her shoulder, unimpressed. “Great. Now books are talking to you.” But as Sigrid read the runes, a chilling whisper filled the air: “Sigrid… come to the altar…” Astrid felt a surge of dread. “Sigrid, stop. This isn’t right.” Sigrid’s eyes flickered, both familiar and distant. “You don’t understand. The Goddess has shown me true strength.” The shadows in the room thickened, binding Astrid’s wrist as Sigrid pulled her towards the altar. “Sigrid, no!” Astrid cried, terror filling her voice. “This isn’t you!” For a fleeting moment, Sigrid’s eyes softened, glinting with regret. But the dark whispers drowned out her friend’s pleas. With a final push, she forced Astrid onto the altar, chanting words laced with dark magic. The temple shuddered, its sacred light extinguished, replaced by an eerie, corrupted glow. In the silence that followed, Sigrid stood alone, her eyes aglow, as the temple transformed into a monument to darkness and betrayal.
